Welcome to the Portfolio of Jay Harman
I am proud of what I have accomplished. I have learned a lot about architecture through my coursework.
While working with Autodesk AutoCAD, I made a couple of houses for Habitat for Humanity. The work that they do is really important for new homeowners. With the request of a new design, I really wanted to show what I could do. Making these two houses was a lot of fun allowing my creativity to flow out of me. I liked to build cabinets, windows and doors in 2D. Also with AutoCAD, I learned how to do surveying while creating examples of Base Maps & Site Plans. I created an additional parking lot for an office building.
I recreated my 2D buildings into Autodesk's Revit software. That was really fun because I got to see my flat projects come to life in 3D. Yes, the Revit bug has bitten me. My latest project taught me how to use the massing & site functions. Although the making of families isn't my best thing, I really enjoy working with massing so much that I put parks inside my 'mass' building.
I have also worked in Trimble's SketchUp making a playhouse for children which I also worked in Epic Games' Twinmotion software. and renovating a park for a small town. My favorite project was the park. I renovated it to work with a new ramada, which is located in the Sustainability link.
